Milton Museum & Information Centre

This is a small, local museum housed in an Art Deco building (former Post Office) in the South Island town of Milton in the Clutha District. The museum contains collections focusing on the local community, including Milton Pottery, local shipwreck and general household artefacts, and clothing.

The museum is run by the Tokomairiro Historical Society.

Research

We have experts on the local history who are happy to research your queries about the area, including genealogy.

Exhibits

We have many varied items in our museum, including permanent and temporary displays.

Information

We currently house the local information centre as well for all of your lower South Island travel needs.
